Safe Laser experiences in the State Medical Centre – Central Hospital of the Hungarian Homeland Defense Forces

In our institution we use Safe Laser devices for 2 years, during which time a comprehensive study was carried out involving hundreds of patients examining the effectiveness of the therapy. During the treatments we have achieved outcomes for the following complaints and disorders:

 

Musculoskeletal disorders

  • arthritis – chronic inflammation of the joints (fingers, wrist, elbow, ankle, knee, shoulder)
  • rheumatoid arthritis – rheumatoid arthritis, pains
  • arthrosis – eroded joints (especially hip, knee, shoulder)
  • spondylarthrosis, lumboischialgia, discus hernia – (neck, back lumbar section)
  • tenosynovitis – inflammation of the tendon sheath (wrist, Achilles tendon)
  • epicondylitis humeri lateralis et medialis – tennis and golf elbow
  • Carpal- tunnel syndrome

Opinions:

In case of the treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal complaints, the pain of the treated person has been improved to such an extent that the rate of medication can be reduced, even omitted. The rehabilitation and healing expertise significantly has shortened. 

A summary of the survey results

The use of Safe Laser is simple, qualifications, safety measures are not required, but it is necessary to carry out an instruction course and to comply with the indication and contraindication. 

In case of acute illness usually 1-3 treatments are sufficient to achieve a positive outcome, so the process does not go through a long and costly chronic condition to be treated.

Patients bear the treatment well, because they feel no particular side effect, which is especially important for children.

Treatment duration is short, usually 5-20 minutes.

It is a good supplement to any other physical therapy and it can be given to mono- and combination treatment. Effective for pain, shortens the healing time.

It reduces the need for drugs, so these possible side effects are reduced too.

    Medical procedures for which Safe Laser 500 Infra soft laser appliance is intended: 

“The biological effect of laser radiation is linked to its specific physical properties. ʻSoft lasers’ have two essential beneficial effects on human body:

  • biostimulation (1, 4, 19), and
  • relief of inflammatory pain (3, 12, 15, 20, 23)

By laying down the theoretical basis of biostimulation, Prof. Mester set the scientific background that has enabled the extensive introduction of soft laser therapy on different medical fields all over the world in order to stimulate healing processes. The term ʻbiostimulation’ means the stimulative effect on the regeneration processes on cell and tissue level. Application Areas of Laser Phototherapy

Nowadays laser therapy is applied in several areas due to its beneficial biological effects listed above.

The treatment doses indicated in the “User Manual” have been determined based on Hungarian professional experience, protocols and WALT Recommendations.

Contraindications:

In case of pregnancy, irradiation of abdomen is forbidden because of (dangerous) increase of congestion!
Usage of the instrument is forbidden in case of persons suffering from severe coagulation disorders as well!

Do not treat with laser:

  • tumour areas,
  • thyroid (in case of superactivity) and
  • breast area,
  • skin surfaces affected by fungal infection,
  • Direct irradiation of coloured moles may be dangerous, because these qualify
  • as pre-neoplastic skin lesions.

It is forbidden to light into nostrils with Safe Laser® 500 Infra without nasal accessory!

Never treat yourself without a precise medical diagnosis, since Safe Laser® 500 Infra, although it can decrease your pain, is not always able to eliminate the root of your problem, and it may temporarily obscure grave diseases!
